EXHUMED Announce U.S. Tour Dates With Cannibal Corpse,

Additional Headlining Shows and more!

Adding to a maniacal live takeover that includes a short South American run with Aborted, the Grind Over Europe Tour with Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind, a U.K. journey with Anaal Nathrakh and a handful of stateside headlining dates, California goregrind ministers EXHUMED are pleased to announce a near month-long bout of U.S. dates with death metal icons/headliners Cannibal Corpse! Joined by labelmates Abysmal Dawn and Arkaik, the live rituals will commence on April 5 in Jacksonville, Florida and include an appearance at the The Cincinnati Metal Fest on April 14 as well as a special show on April 28 where the brutal caravan will merge with the Decibel Magazine tour featuring Behemoth, Watain, The Devil’s Blood and In Solitude.

Comments vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "We are totally stoked about this tour and look forward to seeing some smiling, blood-streaked faces in the front row every night. It's a great tour package to be a part of, and anyone within barfing distance should cruise out and grab a beer with us! It's truly a pleasure to support a band that has as much longevity and integrity as the gentlemen in Cannibal Corpse, so we'll try extra hard not to go out there and stink it up every night. Our livers, brain cells and dignity are about to be sacrificed on the altar of death metal once again -- see you all out there!”

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE ANNOUNCE NEW SINGER: JESSE LEACH

HE SERVED AS BAND'S ORIGINAL SINGER ON LANDMARK ALBUM ALIVE OR JUST BREATHING

(New York, NY): Killswitch Engage are pleased to announce that they have filled the singer vacancy in the band and they have done so with a familiar face: original vocalist Jesse Leach.

Leach sang on the band's first self-titled album, which came out in 2000, and on their landmark 2002 Roadrunner debut Alive or Just Breathing. Leach left the band in 2002 and was replaced by Howard Jones, but his work on Alive or Just Breathing has always been revered by diehard, longtime KsE fans. Things have come full circle a decade later, and Leach and the band couldn't be more pleased about this reunion.

The band revealed that Leach auditioned for the job he once held and pretty much blew everyone away and then some. The band stated, "After much deliberation and careful consideration, we are pleased to announce that Jesse Leach has rejoined Killswitch Engage. Our job was to find the best person to fill Howard's shoes: a decision based on talent and not familiarity."

The band further said, "Truth be told, Jesse blew us away in auditions. The room seemed charged with electricity. He commanded both new and old material, and proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he wanted to do this. The choice became very clear and apparent."

The band also is psyched to share the news with fans, saying, "This change is very exciting. We know you're going to love it. This is truly a new era in KsE history  and it is ready to shred your face off. So, please help us in welcoming Jesse back into the KsE family; he is a rare and great talent, a fact that older KsE fans have known for years. Here is to a killer new record and a bright future. The five of us cannot wait to write this record and play shows together and bring that feeling to our fans. It's been far too long."

The "new" guy himself also commented on his return to the band after a decade-long absence, saying, "It is a great honor to rejoin my brothers after all of these years. After some discussion and much reflection, it was obvious to me this was the path I was meant to take. We got together and jammed on the 'Howard-era songs,' as well as some Alive or Just Breathing-era songs and we all felt the synergy."

He continued, "I look forward to writing the new record, since the demos sound absolutely amazing,  as well as breathing new life and getting comfortable with the soulful songs Howard has written. It is a new chapter of my life filled with new and exciting challenges. I will give all that I can to honor the position I have been given and take nothing for granted. I will sing every note with all of my soul. I am very blessed and very thankful to be back in the KsE family! All things happen in their due time and now is the time for this reunion and new direction."

KsE remain hard at work on their latest album, which follows 2009's second self-titled album.

The band will perform at the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest on April 22, 2012. Leach last performed with KsE in March 2010 in New York City, Clifford Park, NY, and Wallingford CT.

Tour dates are as follows:

GWAR Announces Second Leg of Spring "Return of the World Maggot Tour"

Kylesa, Ghoul and Legacy of Disorder To Provide Support

Not content with five weeks of North American destruction and devastation, mutant overlords GWAR have announced a second leg to their Spring "Return of the World Maggot Tour". This leg kicks off April 13th in San Antonio, Texas and wraps up April 28th in Allentown, PA. Support on this leg of the tour will come from Kylesa, Ghoul and Legacy of Disorder.

Tickets for fan club members go on sale tomorrow February 8th and tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday February 10th .

"These press releases usually go something like this--", said bellicose front-thing Oderus Urungus. "There is a general statement about what GWAR is up to, then I say something stupid, then it goes to a list of the shows and a bunch of links. That's what's happening right now. We really have to work harder to make these things more interesting."

Oderus adjusted his tie and continued -- "We are finishing this last spate of shows as a tribute to fallen Scumdog Flattus Maximus, and will be playing as a four piece behind the screaming assault of Balsac. In this way we shall give all the US bohabs ample chance to fall to their knees in a sobbing heap when confronted with the reality of Flattus' departure...and a chance to say farewell. Then GWAR can move forward, and we shall."

The first leg of the tour kicks off with a special tribute show for fallen band mate and friend Cory Smoot, AKA Flattus Maximus, in Richmond, VA, at The National Theater on Friday March 16th. All proceeds from the Richmond show will benefit the "Smoot Family Fund" which has been established to help support Cory's widow and their unborn child. Support on this run will come from fellow Richmond metallers Municipal Waste and California's Ghoul. Legacy of Disorder will join the tour on March 20th in Boston and will run through April 11th in Fort Collins, CO.

FREEDOM CALL Debut New Video

Land of the Crimson Dawn In Stores February 28th on SPV/Steamhammer

There can be no doubt that FREEDOM CALL, in addition to their many other irrefutable fortes, are also a first-rate live act. Their concerts see the melodic metal outfit from Southern Germany deliver a veritable a riot of musical zest, positive energy and personal optimism. So it's not surprising that vocalist/guitarist Chris Bay and his team have been wanting to add this dynamic flair to one of their studio productions without neglecting their familiar love of detail - which the band from Nuremberg have skilfully accomplished on Land Of The Crimson Dawn.

Today FREEDOM CALL is pleased to debut their new video for the song "Hero On Video". Heavy Metal and Hard Rock Hub Noisecreep is hosting an exclusive premiere of the video HERE. Land of the Crimson Dawn is available for pre-order on AMAZON.

"The new tracks simply have more of that rock'n'roll feel," says Bay, "everything sounds much rawer, there's more focus on the guitars than before, and the musicians had more freedom during the recordings than they used to have." This added independence has paid off for FREEDOM CALL: Land Of The Crimson Dawn is definitely one of the band's most dynamic productions since their 1999 debut Stairway To Fairyland, combining the passion of their live shows with carefully intricate arrangements and technical finesse.

The new album will be available from SPV/Steamhammer February 28th in three versions: as a jewel case featuring 14 songs, as a limited double CD digipak including six additional bonus tracks - which have chums such as Powerworld, Secret Sphere, Downspirit, Manimal, Neonfly and Hannes Braun (Kissin' Dynamite) deliver their versions of popular Freedom Call numbers - and on double coloured vinyl LP.

THE INTERSPHERE Premiere New Song

The Intersphere ... have a natural charisma which makes it easy to see why so many do and will love them in years to come.

(AltSounds)

THE INTERSPHERE will release their new album in North America on February 28th via Long Branch Records/SPV. An EPK for Hold On, Liberty can be viewed HERE. The band has also released a video for their first single "Sleeping God" which can be viewed HERE courtesy of Metal Injection.

Today AmpMagazine.com, the online home of AMP Magazine, is hosting an exclusive premiere of a new track from Hold On, Liberty. Get a first listen to "We Are" HERE and pre-order Hold On, Liberty from AMAZON.

On Hold on, Liberty the band has developed their style between boundless energy, rigorously complex songwriting and melodic esthetics. And almost irreverently, they succeed in giving their catchy melodies and rousing songs true depth and complexity.  On top of all this, they capped their perfectionist tendencies by recording the entire album - in seven days - completely live in the studio.  No corrections and no fixed edges - making this a subtly warm and engaging listen for realists as well as dreamers alike.

NECROWRETCH signs worldwide deal with Century Media Records
NecroWretch on Facebook

Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of NECROWRETCH from France. Combining influences from the early works of bands such as Merciless, Morgoth, Grotesque and tons of other unforgettable acts with their own vision, NECROWRETCH is currently one of the most promising young death metal bands.

NECROWRETCH's guitarist / vocalist Vlad comments: "We are of course very happy and proud to join the Century Media Records family in which we already feel really comfortable! We are convinced that this collaboration is for us a unique chance to work in the best conditions with experienced and passionate people. We are now eagerly waiting to start working on our first unholy album. Finally, I would like to thank Jens Prüter, Philipp Schulte and Jerry Maréchal for their confidence and dedication!"

Jens Prüter, Head Of A&R at Century Media Europe comments: "It already surprised the metal scene that we signed the, back then, rather unknown band Sonne Adam from Israel. And I can just repeat myself: it's about the unique quality and we have a history signing Death Metal newcomers. Bands like Grave, Morgoth and Asphyx had just a couple of demos out before we signed them over 20 years ago. Let's continue with the next generation and welcome NECROWRETCH! The Putrefactive Infestation 12" dominated my turntable for some months and I'm sure the upcoming album will be as sick and heavy! Bands like Massacra, Agressor or Mercyless can be proud that NECROWRETCH is carrying on the torch of French Death Metal"

Jerry Maréchal, A&R at Century Media Europe comments: "It has been 4 years now that I follow the progression of the band and all I can say is that it has been truly impressive! From the first demo to the Putrefactive Infestation 12", the 2 main characters behind the band managed to establish NECROWRETCH as a solid newcomer in the Death Metal  field by transcending their excellent early 90's underground influences while remaining faithful to what is genuine Death Metal. Hail to them!"

NECROWRETCH will start writing their first album after the release of their first 7" EP on Detest Records. This 7" will be released at Asphyx's album release party on March 10th, 2012 at the Turock club in Essen, and it will be NECROWRETCH's first German live appearance. The band will then perform at the Hell's Pleasure Festival July 20th and 21st, 2012 in Pößneck, East Germany.

BORKNAGAR launches new single; new band photo now available
Borknagar on Facebook

Norwegian avantgarde metallers BORKNAGAR are now premiering their first single off their much anticipated new studio album, Urd (due out March 26th in Europe and March 27th in North America), via Decibel.com. Go check out the enthralling track "Roots" here:

http://www.decibelmagazine.com/featured/streaming-borknagar-roots/

BORKNAGAR's mastermind Øystein G. Brun checked in to comment about the song:

"In regards to the depth, diversity and magnitude of our new album, 'Urd', it almost feels painful to slice off just a tiny bit of the bloody roast for the very first official 'starter'. I would argue that each and every song on the new album stands on solid ground, but as usual with our music, the songs empower each other in the context of a full album.

That said, 'Roots' is probably the song on the album that gives you the most representative impression of 'Urd'. Musically it contains most of the elements that framework the musical universe of BORKNAGAR, and lyrically this song is gnawing on the very spine of our lyrical tradition. Hope you enjoy this song, the first tiny glimpse into our new opus. The beast is about to be unleashed..."

The album's artwork was designed by Brazilian artist Marcelo Vasco (www.P2RDESIGN.com), who has not only already worked on the band's previous Universal release, but also with artists such as SOULFLY, BELPHEGOR, EINHERJER, and KEEP OF KALESSIN. The mixing duties for the album were taken care of by Jens Bogren at Sweden's Fascination Street Studios (OPETH, PARADISE LOST, KATATONIA, etc.).

The track-listing for the album is below.

Urd track-listing:
1. Epochalypse
2. Roots
3. The Beauty Of Dead Cities
4. The Earthling
5. The Plains Of Memories
6. Mount Regency
7. Frostrite
8. The Winter Eclipse
9. In A Deeper World
